Architectural walk to discover two housing projects: "Cheval noir" of l’Escaut Architects and the Poincaré Boulevard building by BOB 361 Architects; then a passage to the warehouse hosting the Vanhaerents art collection by Robbrecht en Daem Architects. Three renovation projects that preserve the memory of the existing buildings by bringing modernity.
On the second day, we visited the Elishout School of cooking under construction in Anderlecht by De Geyter architects, then we went to Antwerp to discover the MAS by Neutelings Riedijk; we did a guided tour with Sven Grooten of B-Architecten that unveiled us the stage design of the museum. On the road back to Brussels we stopped to see the Lamote Centre by 51N4E architects in Mechelen.
Julien De Smedt welcomed us to his Brussels apartment for a dinner with Barbara Vanderlinden, Walter Bettens and Goedele Desmet. The opportunity for a lively debate on the intricate identity of the country and the architectural context. Talents and opportunities are there, but the common feeling is that of a architecture void of depth, without risk, lucking of visionary projects.
Behind the scenes and relaxing moments of the journey in Belgium.
Welcomed in Dublin by Odos architects, the team spent
three days in the Irish capital looking for a definition
of the architectural practice in the country.
In a grey and rainy weather, the team took its umbrella
and its coat to show you the modern Irish architecture
through different projects.

Roa is located 200km off the northern region of Madrid, in the heart of the province of Burgos. We went there to visit Barozzi and Veiga’s headquarters of the “Ribera del Duero”, a famous Spanish wine. The building, finished in 2010, reflects the architects’ poetics while respecting the context.
We approach Spain looking for Barcelona's proper architecture. The team explores those places where the city and architecture get in touch, expressing its colours. Enjoy!
